Cameron grew up in Cedaredge, Colorado. He began his life in music at an early age, being somewhat thrust into by the musical family on his father, John Hawkins' side; the talent being handed down across four generations. His grandmother, Debbie Hawkins, was even a signed Warner Brothers artist during a period of her life. He started playing in local bars/venues with his father early on in high school and continued until he moved to Florida for school in late 2012. Cameron immediately jumped back in when returning to Colorado in late 2013. A year later Derek was introduced to the band and Suckafish as we know them today was born.
